Reality Bites

অনেকেই জানেননা যে আমার ক্যরিয়ার (টাকা কামাই করার) শুরু করেছিলাম আমার শহরের ক্যাসেটের একটি দোকানে কাজ করে। যখন আমাদের বিশেষ দিনগুলি আসতো, (যেমন ২১ ফেব্রুয়ারি, ২৬ মার্চ, ১৬ ডিসেম্বর) তখন অনেকেই দেশাত্ববোধক গান খোঁজ করতেন এবং কিনতেন। তখন (কিছুদিন আগ পর্যন্ত) একটাই ক্যাসেট বাজারে পাওয়া যেতো। অনেক পুরাতন রেকোর্ডিং, সেটাকে কপি করতে করতে আরও খারাপ অবস্থা। সেগুলি মাইকে বাজানোর জন্য ঠিক আছে, কিন্তু কালেকশন করে রাখার মতন অবস্থায় নাই। বিশ্বাস করতে খারাপ লাগে, কিন্তু আমাদের জাতীয় সঙ্গীতেরই কোনো ভালো রেকোর্ডিং সংগ্রহে ছিলো না।

এই জাগরণের গান এলবামটি বাংলাদেশী সঙ্গীতপ্রেমীদের জন্য সত্যই চরম ভালো একটি উদ্দ্যোগ হয়েছে। লোম দাঁড় করানো এই দেশের গানগুলি এভাবে পেয়ে যে আমি কত খুশি হয়েছি তা বলে বোঝাতে পারবো না। বাংলার জন্য, দেশের জন্য একটি দুটি নয়, ৭১টি গানের সংকলন নিয়ে তৈরী এই এলবামটি।
